Silvana Damen and Vanessa Lansdown are health and wellness facilitators at Life Lessons Educational Programs
Silvana also has over 10 years’ experience working and volunteering with Lifeline as a telephone counsellor. Lifeline is a national charity providing all Australians experiencing a personal crisis with access to 24 hour crisis support and suicide prevention services. With a new call to Lifeline every minute, Silvana helps people with:
- Suicidal thoughts or attempt
- Personal crisis’
- Abuse and trauma
- Stresses from work, family or society
- Self-help information for friends and family.
Silvana is currently employed with the Northern Beaches Business Education Network (NBBEN) as a Youth Case Worker.
She works and volunteers for the Links to Learning Community Grants Program which is administered by the NSW Department of Education. The Department provides funding to approved, not-for-profit, community based organisations and local government authorities to deliver targeted Links to Learning projects. Silvan works with Year 9 and 10 students who are identified as at risk of disengaging from their learning and/or at risk of leaving school early.
Silvana has a Diploma in Holistic Counselling and Life Care and Certificate IV in Community Services. In her own time, Silvana is a practicing Kung Fu teacher and student and is interested in women’s self-defence.
Vanessa Lansdown is a registered Psychologist with experience working with children and teenagers. She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
Vanessa enjoys facilitating groups of students, supporting them and sharing information on different topics. She enjoys running Life Lessons workshops, “Most students are keen to hear the information and share their thoughts and ideas” she says.Contact us for more details
